I heard about Delicious a couple of years ago but never pursued it further. I am in the process of importing bookmarks now & this thing will be very useful since I work on items at home & at school.
As for tagging--librarians tag all the time--we call them subject tracings. Should be useful. I'm not sure about patrons tagging. I'll have to think about that.

Our Reference Librarian has made a Delicious account where she posts useful reference sites. We have a link to this on our web site also. I like it because you can tag a site with a lot of different keywords to describe it.
