Thing 2

I watched the last video--which looked like an advertisement/promotional spot for Learning 2.0. The article by O'Reilly was 5 pages. I'm on summer vacation! The other article was the most helpful. My daughter summarized the whole idea nicely. Originally we had the card catalog, then OPAC was available on a limited scale (depending on number of workstations) at the library, now we have access to a library's holdings from home. An excellent development that is only going to improve as we librarian-teachers learn & incorporate more 2.0 tools.

  1. And the OPAC can be a great 2.0 tool when it allows users to submit reviews and tags for items in the catalog, which many ILS systems are beginning to do.
