Thing 15
Digg is entertaining. Larger variety than usual of stories since they do not come from a limited source--news editor. I did not sign up for an account but I will go in periodically to view what has been contributed.
Things 13 &14
I heard about Delicious a couple of years ago but never pursued it further. I am in the process of importing bookmarks now & this thing will be very useful since I work on items at home & at school.
As for tagging--librarians tag all the time--we call them subject tracings. Should be useful. I'm not sure about patrons tagging. I'll have to think about that.

Things 11 & 12
We have instant messaging through our district's e-mail. I don't care for it. I already spend the majority of my day talking to multiple students/faculty simultaneously.
Most of the people I associate with use Facebook as opposed to Twitter so that is the social network I will keep up with.
Good to know there is something out there for everyone.

Thing 10
Ning is very much like Facebook. I'll keep an eye on it but at this time have no plans to keep up with it. It does seem as though it has a more professional air about it as far as libraries go so I'll watch that part more closely.
Things 8 & 9
I am now on Facebook much to the delight of my husband & daughter. Now I can reconnect with some people I have lost track of. I will keep this activity somewhat current or I'll be hearing about it here at home.
Thing 7
I think I covered #7 in the post about #6. Anyway, added a couple of subscriptions including some of my favorite comics.
Thing 6
Google Reader looks handy & I found something my more 2.0 savvy daughter had not heard of. She was interested. Only added a couple of subscriptions at this point--sometimes all these postings can be overwhelming. I am also interested to see if I can access the reader at school--filters, you know.

Thing 4
Thing 3
Explored Flickr & set up account for school library. I can add pictures of students as well as the displays students create. Students can handle the photography as well. I'm looking forward to this addition.
Thing 2
I watched the last video--which looked like an advertisement/promotional spot for Learning 2.0. The article by O'Reilly was 5 pages. I'm on summer vacation! The other article was the most helpful. My daughter summarized the whole idea nicely. Originally we had the card catalog, then OPAC was available on a limited scale (depending on number of workstations) at the library, now we have access to a library's holdings from home. An excellent development that is only going to improve as we librarian-teachers learn & incorporate more 2.0 tools.
